A wedding day should be unforgettable and with summer wedding decorations it will be. The day should be unique as the bride and as elegant as the finest royalty imagined. Time is of the utmost importance and as soon as you know the wedding day, plans should be in motion.
Usually there is a six month countdown to the big day. When selecting the date you should be prepared to be flexible just in case the officiant and site is already booked.
It is important to set priorities especially concerning the budget. Decide what is really important to you. It could be the decorations, photographs, or the food for the guests. Professional advice is worth the expense so hire a bridal consultant.
Using Nature for Inspiration
Summer wedding decorations are a great way to make use of the beautiful landscape, the view of a mountain or the sea. Usually there is minimal decorations because the beautiful gardens or surrounding beauty of the outdoors become a picturesque backdrop. I provided flowers for the wedding below that was held in a marquee in the garden – the vintage pink bunting worked beautifully.

A tent or marquee can provide shelter from the elements and pretty vines of roses or other flowers can be wrapped around the poles. Soft subtle twinkling lights can encircle the lovely potted dogwood trees that define an outdoor isle.
Colors for Summer Wedding Decorations
There is nothing more crisp and pure as the color white. Imagine the breath taking beauty of an altar and aisles created outdoors. Adorning the chairs at the end of the isles, marking the way for the guests are Casablanca lilies and delicate Stephanotis blossoms dripping with white silk ribbons.
A tall arrangement of complimentary flowers of the same family marks the altar. The identical white silk ribbons tied in nosegays with the Casablanca lilies hang from the bridal tent.
Pink is another color that works well for summer weddings, as can be seen in the photo above. Pink peonies were used to decorate the tables and the marquee was decorated with hanging pomander balls (kissing balls) and hand-crafted bunting.
